Being involved in media and publishing true scientific facts about long term effects of nuclear explosion helped me and my college's newspaper editorial team to stop sending our first aid medical nurse civil defense division troops (which I was of part of in 86 during Kiev's Chernobyl Accident) without anti radiation ammunition and medications into affected areas to start clean up and help with evacuation.
